The National Advisory Council for Healthcare Research and Quality will meet on Friday, July 25. The Council provides advice to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality on matters related to AHRQ's customers and health services researchers.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the status of the Agency's current research, programs, and initiatives. The Council will discuss these specific topics: strategic directions, information technology, the National Healthcare Quality Report, and the National Healthcare Disparities Report. Copies of an overview of the Council and directions to the new AHRQ offices are available on AHRQ's Web site at http://www.ahrq.gov/about/council.htm.
