AHRQ National Advisory Council to Meet November 2

Media Advisory: October 26, 2001

The National Advisory Council (NAC) for Healthcare Research and Quality will meet on Friday, November 2, 2001. The Council provides advice to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) on matters related to AHRQ's customers and health services researchers.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the status of the Agency's current research, programs, and initiatives. The Council will discuss these specific topics: Centers for Education and Research on Therapeutics, Evidence-based Practice Centers, National Quality Report, and National Disparities Report.
