AHRQ Announces the Senior Scholar in Residence Position on Domestic Violence

New Information from AHRQ: June 16, 2000

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) today announced they are seeking applicants for the position of Senior Scholar in Residence for the 2000-2001 academic year. The purpose is to encourage a senior faculty researcher to develop areas of investigation that will provide scientific information on the cost, quality, outcomes, and effectiveness of domestic violence screening and interventions available to domestic violence victims in health care settings.

The Scholar in Residence, a 12-month position based at AHRQ headquarters in Rockville, MD, is authorized under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) of 1970. The assignment will commence on or after September 1, 2000, with a negotiable starting date to begin no later than September 29.

Interested applicants should submit a curriculum vita, descriptions of pertinent experience and interests, and a two-page letter of intent describing the project they would like to undertake. A cover letter describing career objectives, experience, and future potential relating to the senior scholar experience is desirable.
