In efforts to stabilize the faltering economy and globalization, experts believe in one increase – the investments in green energy to create jobs. The Grand State predicated that 352,000 jobs are associated with the green energy investments. Therefore, a state such as New Jersey can gain more than 57,000 jobs within the next two years if they invest a significant amount of funds toward enhancing energy efficiency. Many agree that going “green” will improve the U.S economy.

Quest Aircraft manufactures a 10-seat single-engine turboprop utility airplane known as the KODIAK. The company used Lean manufacturing techniques to meet production demands and increase customer satisfaction.
STATE OF MANUFACTURING
- Manufacturing contracted in September as the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) registered 43.5 percent, more than 6 percentage points lower than in August. This is the lowest reading since October 2001 when the PMI registered 40.8 percent.
- New orders for manufactured goods fell in August, following five months of increases. The $18.6 billion over-the-month decline was the largest percentage decrease since October 2006. Shipments declined in August by $16.4 billion, also following five months of increases.
- Industrial Production decreased 1.1 percent in August and was revised down in June and July to show smaller gains of 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent respectively. Over the year, production was down 1.5 percent.
