The Central Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration in cooperation with the National Park Service is administering a construction project to rehabilitate 7.2 miles of Valley Loop Road in Yosemite National Park. The work consists of pulverizing, hot asphalt concrete paving, and drainage structure enhancements.
A construction contract was awarded to George Reed, inc. on September 8, 2006 for the contract amount of $14,711,407.00.
Road Condition Information for the period of:
The current work on Southside Drive from El Capitan Crossover to the Chapel is underway and will be completed by September 2007.
Traffic Delays
Minimal traffic delays in order to facilitate headwall construction and grading activities. Maximum traffic delay when passing through the work zone on Southside Drive will be less than 15 minutes.
