The Central Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service is administering a construction project to improve 7.17 miles (11.54 kilometers) of Louis Lake Road in Fremont County, WY. Improvements include widening the roadway, paving with asphalt concrete, and improving the drainage system. The project will generally follow the existing vertical and horizontal alignment except near Frye Lake where the road will be realigned farther away from the lake.
A construction contract was awarded to High Country Construction, Inc. on August 19, 2005 for the contract amount of $12,934,960.00.

Driving Conditions
CALL 335-PASS(7277) for current road conditions. Road is closed to traffic from Bruce's Parking area to the Worthen Meadows intersection from 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. Road is open from 7 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 7pm with traffic controls. Road is open all other times.
