Initial Summary:	Captain Sherfick passed away at the scene of a vehicle accident between the fire department ambulance he was operating and a privately owned vehicle. The driver of the POV, which had crossed over the center lane striking the ambulance, was also pronounced at the scene. Another Firefighter/EMT passenger was reported to have been sent to a hospital in good condition with unspecified injuries.
