NAVY

A&T Inc., North Stonington, Conn., is being awarded a $28,892,337 indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to perform research and development engineering services for various diving and life support system requirements being developed, modified or supported by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Coastal Systems Station-Dahlgren Division, Panama City, Fla. Major platforms supported include salvage, ocean engineering and chemical/biological protection program areas of the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in Panama City, Fla., and is expected to be completed by April 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was procured as a full and open competition advertised in the Commerce Business Daily; one offer was received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division-Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61331-01-D-0018).

American Institutes for Research, Washington, D.C., is being awarded a $20,807,788 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the development of an Advanced Intrusion Prevention System (AIPS). AIPS employs technologies in new ways to identify individuals engaging in activities within and across computer networks with the intent of stealing secrets or inflicting damage. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under the command's broad agency announcement, with one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training System Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-01-C-0062).

Teledyne Electronic Technologies, Rancho Cordova, Calif., is being awarded a $19,008,600 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract for major repair and test of AN/ALQ-126B High Band Traveling Wave Tubes. Work will be performed in Rancho Cordova, Calif., and is expected to be completed by May 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The procurement was openly competed and advertised in the Commerce Business Daily and the Internet, with two offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., was the contracting activity (N00164-01-D-0014).

Triton Electron Technology Division, Easton, Pa., is being awarded a $10,400,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract for major repair and test of AN/ALQ-126B Low Band Traveling Wave Tubes. Work will be performed in Easton, Pa., and is expected to be completed by May 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The procurement was openly competed and advertised in the Commerce Business Daily and the Internet, with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., was the contracting activity (N00164-01-D-0013).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Information Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $7,607,509 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-00-C-0289) for the fabrication, assembly, integration and testing for three Engineering, Manufacturing and Development (EMD) Reconfigurable Transportable Consolidated Automated Support System (RTCASS) stations. This requirement includes cabling, and one Operation/Performance Interface Device (OPID) Test Program Set (TPS) to be used for V-22 TPS development. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by April 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $6,230,238 cost-plus-fixed-fee, service type contract for environmental planning and compliance. The contractor will provide services for business risk assessment and environmental planning and compliance for the Navy, Army, Air Force, Air National Guard and other DoD and Non-DoD customers. Other provisions include system safety, health hazard pollution prevention and environmental field support analysis. This contract has four options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $32,537,171. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is expected to be completed by April 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $3,115,119 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and released on the Internet, with four proposals received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity (N00174-01-D-0008).

AIR FORCE

Mississippi State University, Mississippi State, Miss., is being awarded a $13,551,119 indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contract to provide for research and development in support of the High Temperature, High Power, High Efficiency, High Voltage Converters Using Silicon Carbide Program. This effort will advance all aspects of aircraft and space power-system technology. The work is expected to be completed April 2007. There were three proposals received. Solicitation began April 2000; negotiations were completed April 2001. At this time, $1,345,500 of the contract funds have been obligated. Air Force Research Labs, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-01/D-2103).

UES Inc., Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $10,373,903 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for research and development in the areas of simulation techniques and exploratory research on materials including high temperature intermetallics, metal-matrix composites, ceramic-matrix composites, and nanocrystalline materials. UES will perform this effort at the Air Force Research Lab, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The work is expected to be completed April 2006. There was one proposal received. Solicitation began December 2000; negotiations were completed April 2001. Air Force Research Lab, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contract activity (F33615-01/C-5214).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sylvan Forest Products Inc.*, Portland, Ore., is being awarded a $13,196,000 firm-fixed-price with economic price adjustment, indefinite quantity type contract for lumber and related products for the northwest region. Work will be performed in Eugene, Ore.; Boise, Idaho; Jasper, Ore.; Washougal, Wash.; Beaverton, Ore.; Hoquiam, Wash.; Port Angeles, Wash.; Portland, Ore.; Springfield, Ore.; Tacoma, Wash.; Vallejo, Calif.; North Plains, Ore.; Wilsonville, Ore.; Seattle, Wash. and Medford, Ore. and is expected to be completed by July 18, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0500-01-D-BP08).

Terry Manufacturing Company Inc.*, Roanoke, Ala., is being awarded an $11,159,100 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity type contract for camouflage coats. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-00-D-0320).

ARMY

Motorola, Systems Solutions Group, Scottsdale, Ariz., is being awarded an $11,054,542 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-00-C-L006, to exercise the option to increase the quantity of upgrades of AN/TSQ-179 from (V)1 to (V)2 configuration in fiscal year 2001 by an additional 19 units of Common Ground Stations. Work will be performed in Scottsdale, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 7, 2000. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.
