Energy Efficiency and Renewables for the Construction Industry

August 23 - September 20, 2008

Home > Group Program>Energy Efficiency and Renewables for the Construction Industry

The Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) Program will train a delegation of 18 mid- to senior-level engineers and executives from construction companies, regional ministries, and universities from the Russian Far East, Ukraine, and Georgia. The SABIT Energy Efficiency and Renewables for the Construction Industry Program will introduce the delegation to U.S. industry trends, processes, and equipment involved in energy efficient construction and will assist them in establishing contacts with potential partners.

The delegation is interested in gaining knowledge of American expertise in energy efficient construction and retrofit methods, and to identify new managerial concepts that can be implemented in their own construction processes. Topics of interest include: materials, construction processes, renewable energy, certification and design.

This program offers a unique opportunity for American firms to promote their products and services to decision makers seeking innovative technology solutions, investment opportunities, and future business contacts.

SABIT is currently seeking manufacturers, contractors, builders, architects, and industry specialists to host this delegation at their facilities. Key industry leaders as well as small-scale operations are invited to participate. Participating companies and organizations typically host delegations for up to one day, and there is no charge associated with participation. Host companies are encouraged to share industry expertise in topics pertaining to this energy efficiency in construction program.
