Updating Youth Employment Regulations for the 21st Century

Welcome to the Wage and Hour Division’s (WHD) Website for updates to its youth employment regulations. WHD has recently published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) and an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) in the Federal Register and invited the public to submit comments.

The public comment period closed for both the NPRM and ANPRM on July 16, 2007.

To view submitted comments:

1. Click on this link: www.regulations.gov;
2. Select "All Documents (Open and Closed for Comment)";
3. In the "Agency *" field, select "Wage and Hour Division" from the drop- down list of choices;
4. Select "Proposed Rules" from the drop-down list of choices;
5. Select "Document ID" from the drop-down list of choices, enter
   "WHD-2007-0002" (NPRM) or "WHD-2007-0001" (ANPRM) in the "Key Word Field, and select "Submit;"
6. On the next screen select either option in the "Docket ID" column to go to the posted submissions, and select one of the "Views" icons to review a particular comment.
