ABOUT US THE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (OFM) OFM consists of the Office of Financial Policy and Assistance, the Office of Executive Budgeting and the Commerce Business Systems (CBS). The Office of Financial Management formulates and prescribes Department-wide financial management, accounting, fiscal policies, procedures, and controls as well as provides assistance to Department components in its implementation. It ensures the compliance with all laws, regulations, standards and guidelines regarding these components. OFM also develops and maintains a Departmental financial systems, Commerce Business Systems. MISSION STATEMENT Provide quality financial information, services and systems, unparalleled in Government, to meet related needs of Commerce's program managers and adminstrators. STATUTORY AUTHORITY Effective January 16, 2004, in Departmental Organizational Order DOO 20-27, the Office of Financial Management, a Departmental office, is headed by a Director, who also serves as the Department's Deputy Chief Financial Officer and reports and is responsible to the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary for Administration (CFO/ASA).
