and Information Administration issued a "sources
sought" notice of an intention to procure centralized
management and coordination of registry, registrar
(where specified), database, and information services

NTIA announced the award of a purchase order
to manage the .us Internet domain name space to NeuStar,
Inc. October 29, 2001 Request for Quotations:
NTIA issued a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for
management and coordination of the usTLD. On July 16,
responses to all questions received in response to this
solicitation were posted as Amendment 1. On July 17, an
amended answer to Question 36 in Amendment 1 was posted
as Amendment 2. Amendment 3 was posted on July 23, clarifying
the meaning of "Close of Business" for responses. The
final date for responses to the RFQ was July 27. Formerly

as well as Amendments 1, 2, and 3 are archived here for
reference purposes only. June 13, 2001 A Commerce Business Daily notice of intent to release a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for management and coordination of the usTLD was published. May 25, 2001 Amendment 21 to the NSI Cooperative Agreement. November 2, 2000 NTIA requested
comments on a draft statement of work which
was expected to be incorporated in a request for proposals
for management and administration of the .us domain space.
August 17, 2000 Federal
Register notice that established an open
electronic mailing list for public discussions regarding
the future management and administration of the .us domain
space. Participation in the mailing list was open to all
members of the public interested in discussing the issue.
