TV Converter Box Coupon Program Statistics and Background

Press Release: Nursing Homes Residents and P.O. Box Households Will Be Eligible to Receive DTV Coupons: U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez announced today that residents of licensed nursing homes, intermediate care facilities, assisted living facilities and households that use a post office box for mail delivery will be eligible to request coupons from the TV Converter Box Coupon Program. The rule change takes effect 30 days after publication in the Federal Register.

Public Notice: Meeting on Low-power Television and Translator Upgrade Program: NTIA will hold public meetings regarding the implementation of the Low-power Television Upgrade Program, established by Section 3009 of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005. The meetings will be held in Washington D.C. on October 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, and in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 28, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

Non-Federal License Applications Being Coordinated with NTIA: Non-federal users can now check the status of their spectrum applications going through coordination with NTIA/IRAC (those for federal/non-federal shared bands). Where NTIA/IRAC has completed its response, the applicant should contact the FCC regarding any further action that may be required concerning the NTIA/IRAC response.
