BUSH ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL TO ADDRESS THE MEXICAN
AMERICAN BUSINESS CHAMBER

U.S. Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary Al Frink will address the Mexican American Business Chamber’s VI Annual Posada. In addition to Frink’s keynote speech, the organization will present the “First Commerce Award” to eleven Hispanic companies for their business success.

Born in Mexico, Frink’s family moved to America when he was five years old. Since then, he has lived the American Dream. In 1974, he started his own carpet manufacturing company, Fabrica, with a loan from the Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA recognized Frink in 2004, when the agency inducted him into their hall of fame.

Frink is the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Manufacturing and Services, where he is responsible for promoting and strengthening competitiveness for America’s manufacturing and service industries. The office does this by conducting economic and trade policy analysis, shaping U.S. trade policy, participating in trade negotiations, and evaluating the impact of regulatory policies on U.S. manufacturers and service industries.
