Under Secretary Mancuso Visits Hong Kong SAR

During his visit to the Hong Kong Special Adminstrative Region (SAR), Under Secretary of Commerce Mancuso discussed bilateral high technology and export control trade issues with senior government officials and local business leaders.

Under Secretary Mancuso met with Director General Joseph Lai from the Trade and Industry Department to reaffirm the United States' committment to expanding secure trade with Hong Kong. Under Secretary Mancuso also met with senior Hong Kong customs officials for a security and operations briefing, as well as a visit to a key cargo container terminal and boundary control checkpoint.

Under Secretary Mancuso also met with Hong Kong Trade and Development Council Executive Director Fred Lam and participated in a roundtable discussion with the leadership of the American Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong and senior executives from member companies.
