2003 State/County Reference Wall Map

This wall map (48 x 36 inches) shows state/state equivalent and county/county equivalent boundaries and names as of January 1, 2003, for each state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Downloading Instructions

The PDF files for each map are quite large and opening them within your browser is not recommended. Instead, right-click on the PDF links and choose the “save target as” option in Internet Explorer, or “save link as” option in Netscape Navigator. Once the files are downloaded to your computer they can easily be viewed with Adobe® Reader®, which can be downloaded for free from the Adobe® website.

To obtain a plotted hard copy of this map, contact the Census Bureau's Geography Division at 301-763-1128. You may purchase the map for $8. (Prices are for orders shipped within the United States. International orders will cost slightly more.)
