First make sure your are using the Acrobat Reader version 3.0 or later applicable for your operating system. There is a 32bit reader for Windows 98, 95 and NT. There is a separate 16bit reader for Windows 3.x.
NOTE: You will get better performance by using a computer with a 32bit Operating system to access the files in this Library.
A: Be sure you know which operating system you are using and what web browser you are using along with the version of the browser (look under the help menu for an item "about Netscape" or "about Internet Explorer" for the version number). Then look below for your operating system and browser.
If you are using Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, you will need an Active X Update to view PDF files within your browser. Instructions:
Download the update to the c:\temp directory
Exit all applications (except Windows)
Click on the file ocxinst.exe
Follow the directions on the screens that appear.
This should correct the problem. Download the update now.
If you are using Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x,
Make sure a pdf*.ocx file and a pdf.tlb file are located in the Acrobat3\ActiveX or Reader\ActiveX directory.
If not, please reinstall your Acrobat Reader to make sure the correct plug-in information is added to the Windows registry.
Make sure you restart Windows after installation to make sure that Internet Explorer is accessing the most current Windows registry information.
