Under Secretary of Commerce Mario Mancuso outlines BIS agenda for final 6 months

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Under Secretary of Commerce Mario Mancuso today delivered the keynote address at an event hosted by the Washington International Trade Association.  Under Secretary Mancuso underscored the responsibilities, priorities, and goals of BIS for the remainder of the administration (See Remarks). 

BACKGROUND ON UNDER SECRETARY MANCUSO:
As Under Secretary, Mr. Mancuso leads the Bureau of Industry and Security in promoting continued U.S. high technology leadership across strategic industry sectors in order to advance U.S. national security, foreign policy and economic objectives.  In this capacity, Mr. Mancuso works closely with counterpart officials of U.S. international partners and allies around the world

Mr. Mancuso is also responsible for multilateral and bilateral high technology and strategic trade dialogues for the United States, including the U.S.-China High Technology and Strategic Trade Working Group and the U.S.-India High Technology Cooperation Group, and manages a bureau with offices throughout the United States and in China, India, Hong Kong, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates.
