Notice of Series Changes with the Update to 2007 North American Industry Classification and Annual Benchmark Release on March 11, 2008

With the release of January 2008 data on March 11, 2008, the CES State and Metropolitan Area series updated to the 2007 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) from the 2002 NAICS basis and also released the annual benchmark revision.

Update to NAICS 2007. The conversion to NAICS 2007 resulted in minor definitional changes within manufacturing, telecommunications, financial activities, and professional and technical services. Several industry titles and descriptions also were updated.
