Key Dates for the 2002 Economic Census

The Economic Census is the major economic statistical program of the United States. It constitutes the chief source of data about the structure and functioning of the Nation’s economy, and provides the foundation and framework for a host of other statistical endeavors by the public and private sector alike.


Key Dates

    The Economic Census collects data for activity conducted during 2002.

    2002 October 30
    Economic Census Classification Forms are mailed to selected small companies.
       The NC-99023 and NC-99026 forms are due 30 days after receipt.

    2002 December 9
    Economic Census forms are mailed to multi-location companies.

    2002 December 16
    Economic Census forms are mailed to single-location companies.

    2003 February 12 arrow
    2002 Economic Census forms are due.

    2004-2005
    Economic Census data are published. Reports include Industry Series, Geographic Area Series, and Subject Series.
