2008 Conference Just Days Away

Panelists for the Opening Plenary "Election 2008: How the Results Will Shape Our Future" (Clockwise from top left): Jonathan Capehart, Henry Cisneros, Andrew Kohut, Alberto Ibargüen (moderator), Judy Woodruff, and Jim VandeHei.

This year's Annual Conference will take place against a backdrop of two of the most significant events of our lifetimes: the groundbreaking 2008 elections and the biggest financial crisis since the 1930s. Join nearly 1,000 nonprofit leaders in Philadelphia November 9-11 as they discover the best ways to use our powerful voice to secure brighter futures for people everywhere during these rapidly shifting times. The program includes:

  • The Public Policy Action Institute, which will explore how nonprofits can pursue their missions in the new political landscape;
  • Global Civil Society Dinner, which will examine how the elections may affect America's reputation and role in the international community; and
  • NGen, a special program for nonprofit professionals under the age of 40 designed to build their leadership skills and professional networks.
