We appreciate your interest in becoming a part of the Citizen Corps. You have joined countless other Americans by stepping forward to be part of a national network of volunteers, willing to help their fellow citizens in times of need. That network has grown immensely since President Bush announced it as a part of his USA Freedom Corps initiative.

We stand ready to provide you with information on ways you can become more active in your community and be a leader and example to your neighbors. In the coming weeks, we will be sending you regular updates with information on how you can become more involved in making your community safer and with information about the program or programs you've inquired about.

You should be proud to be a part of this citizen commitment to make our country safer. Also, please take some time to tell your friends, neighbors and colleagues about the Citizen Corps and encourage them to join as well.
