GSA's Heartland Region aims to enhance the manner in which we empower our federal customers to best achieve their missions. In providing for the federal government’s workplace, we acquire office space, equipment, supplies, telecommunications and information technology.

To enhance its already impressive record, the Heartland Region has embarked upon an aggressive agenda to forge strategic alliances with our customers. We never lose sight of our duty to serve as an effective steward for the American taxpayer, and we place great importance on our dual role of serving the federal government and the American people.

One way GSA succeeds at this, beyond accomplishing our traditional mission, is to invest in the urban core of cities throughout America. The Good Neighbor Program allows us to seek opportunities to partner with local communities in support of their revitalization efforts.

The Heartland Region, in particular, also embraces the concept of Community Outreach and can point to numerous successful projects in which the federal and local communities have joined to invest in economic development and improved civic services.
