Council Description
The Ellis County CERT was organized in October, 2006. The first ten members went through a T-t-T training. In January of 2007 the group conducted their first 20 hour basic training. Twelve new members were welcomed aboard. Over the last year the Ellis County CERT has grown to 42 members. The last 21 just finished their basic training October 27th. The group is active with community outreach. Currently, they are gearing up for HAM Radio training, as well as basic sign-language and other specific training to enhance the groups' capabilities.
