The Central Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration in cooperation with the National Park Service is proposing to rehabilitate the North Unit Scenic Drive in the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This route is the main access road for the North Unit and lies entirely within the boundaries of the Park. The route begins at the intersection with U.S. Highway 85, approximately 15 miles south of Watford City, ND and ends at the Oxbow Overlook. The North Unit Scenic Drive is 13.8 miles in length.

An Environmental Assessment is being prepared to study potential impacts associated with rehabilitation of the route. The Environmental Assessment is expected to be complete in June 2007.
