Previous resolved bugs

Resolved in version 2.3.1 released on December 18, 2007

Version 2.3 (September 30, 2007) bugs

1. A bug has been discovered in the Shed Report for a Labor Shed analysis. In the table titled "States Where Workers Live," shown at the bottom of the Shed Report, the 'Share' column for 2004 is displaying 2002 percent shares for the top three states (but not the 'All Other Locations' row). The work around for this bug is to swap the 2002 and 2004 percentages shown for the first three rows of this table. The accuracy of the 'Count' column is not affected by this bug. A fix is being developed.

Version 2.2 (July 31, 2007) bugs

5. Printing and report export options are not currently available. This functionality will be available in the final release of OnTheMap Version 2.

Version 2.2.1 (August 28, 2007) bugs

1. QWI & Area Profile Reports are not populated with data when an entire state is the selection area. A fix is being developed.

2. The QWI & Area Profile Reports are not fully populated with data for certain "Tribal Lands" and "Military Bases." We are currently investigating this issue.

Version 2.2 (July 31, 2007) bugs

4. When requesting a Shed Report for a Labor or Commute Shed Analysis in the state of Arkansas, county and state summaries do not currently generate. A fix will be applied in the next few weeks. (County summaries were resolved in version 2.2.1 on 8/28/07.)

Version 2.2 (July 31, 2007) bugs

1. Reports generated by the Freehand Selection tool appear to be relatively slow, particularly when reports for urban areas are generated. Users are encouraged to use options other than the Freehand tool to generate reports until a fix is applied in the next few weeks.

2. Three geographic layers in the Update Layers tool do not currently appear in the map display. If a user attempts to add US 110th Congressional Districts, WIRED Regions (Generation 3), or Community Colleges to their map display, the application enters an indefinite loop or crashes. To return to the map homepage, click "Place Name Lookup." Users are advised to avoid these geographic layers until a fix is applied in the next few weeks.

3. While performing a Travel Shed or Paired Area Analysis, certain geographic layers are not currently functioning with the Layer Selection tool. If a user attempts to select an analysis area based on WIRED Regions (Generation 1 and 2), Tribal Lands, or Military Bases, the application will fail to generate points, thermals, or reports. Users are advised to avoid using these geographic layers with the Layer Selection tool until a fix can be applied in OnTheMap Version 2.3.

Resolved in version 2.2 released on July 31, 2007

Version 2.1 (June 1, 2007) bugs

1. The Paired Area Analysis tool does not support use of different layers for stage 1 and 2 queries. The layer type must be the same for each stage of the analysis. For example, selecting the counties layer in stage 1 and the cities layer in stage 2 is not supported at this time.

Related to this problem, the Paired Area analysis tool has a limitation that causes the selections to be lost (and therefore a report cannot be generated) if the map extents or browser window are changed between the stage 1 and 2 queries. For example, resizing the browser window after stage 1 and before stage 2 will cause this problem to occur.

2. The label for the Baseline Count row in the Area Profile report does not consistently update the correct job type based on a user's selection. The values in the row do reflect the correct selection and are not affected.

3. In both the Commute and Labor Shed reports, the "All Other Locations" value shown for years 2002 and 2003 is slightly undercounted. This means that the full list totals for these years add up to less than the reported "Baseline Count." The counts associated with the top ranked cities, counties, and states are correct for all years.

Resolved in version 2.1 released on June 1, 2007

Version 2.0.2 (May 15, 2007) bugs

There is currently a bug in the 2.0.2 release that affects several selection tools when performing a Labor Shed analysis within the state of North Carolina. Specifically, selection areas are lost (they disappear after they are made) when performing a Labor Shed for year 2004 when using the Freehand, Buffered, Circle, and Concentric Circle selection tools. The other active states (Alabama and Georgia) and years 2002 and 2003 are not affected. It is anticipated that this problem will be corrected with the release of version 2.1 (May 31).
