OnTheMap is a live, Internet mapping application that shows in high definition the geographic relationships between where people live and where they work. This text-only version is provided for users that do not wish to work directly with the interactive map viewer, yet are interested in producing travel shed and workforce profile reports for standard city and county geographies.

OnTheMap Version 2 provides labor market information covering 42 states with three years of history (2002 through 2004). The installed states are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Get started Get started by typing the name of a state, county or city into the entry box and pressing "Enter." The application will display a verification window where you can choosing between multiple areas that may share the same name. A checklist will then appear for specifying the tabular report desired.
