The Central Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service is administering a construction project to repair a land slide that occurred within the boundaries of the CA PFH 149-1(2), Mad River Road project. The project consists of repairing a slide failure and miscellaneous roadway work at approximately MP 3.5 on Mad River Road.
A construction contract was awarded to Mercer Fraser Company on September 19, 2006 for the contract amount of $1,969,485.00.
