Census Bureau to Hold News Conference on
Income, Earnings, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage Findings
- What:
- The U.S. Census Bureau will hold a news conference to release two reports: Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2007, containing findings from the Current Population Survey (CPS); and Income, Earnings, and Poverty Data from the 2007 American Community Survey (ACS).
The CPS findings are national, while the ACS findings pertain to states, as well as counties and cities of 65,000 or more people. The ACS report also includes a comparison of earnings for men and women by selected characteristics, including industry and occupation

Arriving via Metrorail: The Metro provides the most convenient access to the Census Bureau. The Census Bureau headquarters building is located adjacent to the Suitland Metrorail (Green Line).
Arriving by Car: Enter from Silver Hill Road through Main Gate 5 (see map) to arrive at Visitor’s Pass Center. Visitor’s parking is limited, so please arrive early. Additional parking will be available within walking distance. Visitor’s vehicles entering Suitland Federal Center are subject to inspection upon entry.
- Security:
- Photo identification is required
for admission to the Census Bureau. Foreign nationals must contact the Public
Information Office to obtain a special security clearance form.
