The 2008 Federal Aid to States project collects data from Federal Departments and agencies on the amount of money expended directly to State, local and territorial governments in the form of grants and other payments. The amounts awarded to the initial governmental recipients are identified by program number and title, budget account number and geographic identifiers.

* All Federal agencies are encouraged to submit data electronically. The file template can be downloaded in Excel spreadsheet format.

 Data Submission
* Use the file naming convention below when submitting your file: FASnnnn.yyy (where nnnn is your agency name abbreviation (2-4 characters), and yyy is the file extention). For example, FASepa.xls for Environment Protection Agency in Excel spreadsheet format.
