1890 Scholars Program

Student's Supervisor:

• Acknowledge acceptance of, and five year commitment to, selected student.
  
• Welcome student (telephone call followed by letter), discuss ARS' mission and activities.
  
• Assign duties and work related to the student's major or course of study.
  
• Mentor (or assign a mentor to) student.
  
• Provide feedback to student on his/her performance based on established performance standards.
  
• Initiate promotion actions when applicable and in a timely manner.
  
• Keep LAO, Unit Secretary and HRD Scholars Program Coordinator informed of any questions, concerns, or problems.
