Eric J. Boswell To Be Nominated As Assistant Secretary for Diplomatic Security

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate Eric J. Boswell, of the District of Columbia, to be Assistant Secretary of State (Diplomatic Security) and Director of the Office of Foreign Missions with the rank of Ambassador. 

Ambassador Boswell currently serves as Assistant Deputy Director for Security in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.  

Prior to this, he served as Director of Administration at the Pan American Health Organization.  Earlier in his career, he served as Assistant Secretary of State (Diplomatic Security). 

Ambassador Boswell received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
