Rating

What This Rating Means

PERFORMING
Effective

This is the highest rating a program can achieve. Programs rated Effective set ambitious goals, achieve results, are well-managed and improve efficiency.
  • The program is similar to the State Department's Capital Security Construction Program in that both fulfill many of the same objectives and are carried out in essentially the same way. Both programs are constructing facilities using the same designs, models and staff.
  • The program had achieved results based on its exisiting goals but was redundant in its activities. Thus, State Department has determined that this program should evolve in order to address only projects of Stretegic Importance not all non-security construction projects. The Non-Security Construction line-item will no longer exist in FY 2007.

Improvement Plan

About Improvement Plans

We are taking the following actions to improve the performance of the program:

  • Eliminating the Non-Security Construction in order to reduce redundancy. The program will evolve into a new program called the Strategic Capital Program but is still in the planning stages.
