Drug Development for Neglected Diseases -- The Trouble With FDA Review Vouchers

The perspective piece, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, argues that a new FDA program, which provides pharmaceutical companies that develop drugs for neglected tropical diseases with a "voucher" for accelerated FDA review of other drug applications, is "inefficient" and "potentially dangerous."
