The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is sponsoring the upcoming meeting, "Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP 2003): What's Working? What's Missing? What's Next?" to be held July 22-24, 2003, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.
Attendees will include health services researchers, clinicians, health care managers, payers, patient and consumer representatives, industry representatives, and policymakers.
From prevention to medication safety to surgical technique and more, evidence-based research findings must be translated into health care practices, protocols, policies, and systems that achieve needed and measurable improvements in health care quality, patient safety, outcomes, and cost, use, and access.
Conference participants will examine successes and challenges in implementing research findings faced by patients, communities, physicians, practices, health care organizations, national and local governments, payers, educators, and the media.
Conference registration is $400.
