The U.S. Commercial Service in Canada is hosting an Interoperability in Communications Seminar and Exhibit in Ottawa on January 15, 2009.  This event is designed to introduce leading U.S. suppliers offering the latest solutions and technologies required to address the voice and data interoperability needs of first responders and, public safety officials, municipal, provincial and federal government representatives in Canada. 

The event will feature a keynote address by the U.S. Department of Home Land Security on interoperable communications, as well as technical presentations by participating U.S. company representatives on interoperability - The Challenges and Solutions.

U.S. participants will also have their technologies on display and be available for one-on-one consultations by appointment.  An evening networking reception hosted by the U.S. Ambassador to Canada will provide an additional opportunity for U.S. company representatives and Canadian guests to explore and discuss their common interests in improving interoperable communications in North America.
