Working 4 Utah Utah Governor Jon Huntsman has announced Working 4 Utah initiative, extending state government service hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday beginning the first week of August. The Utah State Library is complying with the Governor’s request, new business hours are Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Director Anne-Imelda Radice, Ph.D. paid a visit to the Utah State Library to get a feel for the growing needs of Utah’s library community. Radice is a presidential appointee from Washington, DC.

During her consultation visit, Dr. Radice agreed to look into the limitations on spending Library Science and Technology (LSTA) funds for library continuing education and work on broadening the topics that may be taught, including trustee training.
