Statistician
As a member of statistics team, you will be responsible for the collection and compilation of statistics in one or more specific fields, conduct statistical research and analysis, develop new systems and indicators to support users' statistical requirements.

You will participate in and work with a wide spectrum of statistical data to assist in decision- and policy-making. You are comfortable working both alone and as a member of a team.

You may specialise in one or more of these fields:

Economic statistics
Income and expenditure statistics
Population and demographic statistics

Business statistics

Price statistics

Requirements:
At least a good honours degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or other related disciplines and subjects with substantial quantitative content. Eg. Accountancy, Information Technology which are relevant for specific jobs.
Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to learn and apply computer packages for statistical work.

Any related work experience is a plus.

Requirements:

As a Management Executive (Finance), you will:

Be responsible for accounting functions, including financial and management reporting ie Resource Accounts and Financial Management Indicator Statement.
Handle accounting and financial activities relating to payables and claims processing, budget preparation and monitoring, fixed asset accounting.
Liaise with auditors, review and follow-up on audit recommendations.

As a Management Executive (Office Management), you will:
Be responsible for office, administrative and logistics management covering procurement, contracts and inventories management.
Administer the maintenance of office equipment, fixed assets and premises.
Liaise and coordinate with suppliers and contractors on office renovation works and services.
Handle office security matters and registry functions.
Provide IT admin support.

Requirement:
A general pass degree.

Assistant Director
(Corporate Communications)

You will provide support to subject-matter Divisions in presenting and communicating key statistical information releases to the media and general public effectively. You will develop and implement marketing communication initiatives to enhance the Department's corporate image, as well as organise and coordinate marketing communication activities for the Department including media relations, promoting the Department's products and services.


Requirements:
An Honours degree with a good academic record.
Preferably have knowledge in Economics, Statistics or subjects with substantial quantitative content.
At least 4 years' relevant experience, preferably in the area of Corporate Communications.
Possess strong command of written and oral communications.
Have good inter-personal skills i.e. people-oriented with ability to cultivate networks and relationship.
Have keen interest in current affairs, politics and economic/social issues.

Management Support Officer (MSO)
(Statistical/Finance/Office Management)

MSO (Statistical)
You will provide statistical support to manage key functions in database enhancement and maintenance, survey operations, computer data generation and computations of statistical indicators.

   
MSO (Finance)
You will provide support on finance matters including maintenance of accounts, payments, revenue collection, staff claims, payroll and handling of audit queries on the functions.
   
MSO (Office Management)
You will provide office administrative and management support on procurement, office operation, office premises maintenance, contracts, inventory and assets management.

Requirement:
A diploma in Business Administration, Business Studies, Banking & Finance, Accountancy or Information Technology.

The commencing salary will commensurate with educational qualifications, NS and relevant working experience.

The Singapore Department of Statistics has vacancies for Daily-Rated/ Hourly-Rated Statistical Assistant.
 
Requirements:
Singapore Citizen
Minimum 3 GCE 'N'-level passes with P3 in Mathematics and English.
PC knowledge
 
Remuneration :
Daily-Rated - S$52.37 per day
Hourly-Rated - S$5.95 per hour (Fixed morning/afternoon shift of 4 hours per day)
