Water levels in the uranium-contaminated colluvial aquifer measured during mid-October 1996 indicate ground-water flow to the northwest, almost parallel to Fry Creek, a perennial stream. Discharge measured in Fry Creek upstream from the tailings during December 1996 was 1.02 liters per second.
