USDA sponsors four child care centers in headquarters and several in the field to accommodate its employees. Although these child care centers are open to any parent who is in need of child care, USDA employees are given priority when space is available.

USDA is committed to providing elder care referral services to its employees to meet their current elder care issues and/or those that may occur in the future. Below are resources and web sites which employees may find useful.

The Elder Care Locator
The Elder Care Locator is a nationwide directory assistance service designed to help older persons and caregivers locate local support resources for aging Americans. Please call 1-800-677-1116, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST.

The Elder Web
The Elder Web is a comprehensive research site for both professionals and family members looking for information on elder care and long-term care. This web site includes links to legal, financial, medical and housing issues. You may visit their web site at www.elderweb.com.
