The Grazinglands Research Laboratory operates a fully instrumented watershed on the Little Washita river covering an area of 236 sq. miles . This watershed is one of the largest and best-instrumented watersheds in the U.S. It has been used as a Super Site in NASA Shuttle Missions and is playing a key role in both remote sensing and climate change research . The hydrology, soils and climate research based on the Little Washita Watershed has attracted both national and international attention. Large field studies have attracted numerous state, federal and university researchers. Data from these studies have been distributed world-wide.
