Deputy Secretary Zoellick in China


Beijing and Chengdu, China
January 24, 2006

Deputy Secretary Zoellick is in China from January 24 - 25, as part of a trip that included a visit to U.S. Pacific Fleet headquarters in Hawaii and U.S.-Japan alliance discussions in Japan.  In China, the Deputy Secretary first visited Beijing, where he discussed with senior foreign ministry and other senior Chinese government officials a broad range of bilateral and international issues. He also traveled to Chengdu, in China’s southwestern province of Sichuan, where he will meet with senior local government officials and visit the Chengdu Panda Research Base.  more on the trip
