Sagamore-Duxbury

The Sagamore-Duxbury study area lies in western Cape Cod Bay, Massachusetts. Multiple glaciations and relative sea-level changes have strongly influenced the geologic evolution of this region. Approximately 270 km² (104 mi²) of the inner shelf were mapped in 2006 along the South Shore and in northern Cape Cod Bay focusing on nearshore areas from the coast out to depths of about 75 m (250 ft).
