• Anatahan Vog Event
  

  A vog event has occurred on Saipan: Residents reported smells and hazy air on Saipan Saturday afternoon at about 5 pm local time (07:00 2/17 UTC). Anatahan has been continuously emitting a weak gas and steam plume at low altitude for many months.

• New CNMI Web Site
  

  A new format has been created for the CNMI web site to provide access to information about volcanic activity and history in the Northern Mariana Islands. We are launching the web site slowly but wanted to provide access to the information we currently have available along with the volcano status reports.
