The locations of the boreholes and sensors included in this web site are shown in the cross-section of the landslide shown below. LT-1, LT-2, and LT-3 are the boreholes containing the extensometer cables used to determine landslide movement. LT-1P, LT-2P, and LT-3P are the boreholes in which piezometers are installed near the basal slip zone of the landslide. (modified from Landslide Technology, 2004).

Photograph showing extensometer installation at location LT-1. Cable extension transducer is housed in grey enclosure, with the extension cable attached to the wire rope cable extending downhole. A spring provides tension to counteract weight of the downhole cable.
