BLM Wyoming Holds Teleconference to Discuss Announcement of 
Buffalo Resource Management Plan Revision

WHAT:
The Bureau of Land Management in Wyoming is inviting members of the media to participate in a teleconference regarding an update to the next management steps the BLM WY Buffalo Field Office will take with its Resource Management Plan.

Reporters can contact BLM WY Buffalo, Casper, Newcastle, Public Affairs Specialist, Lesley Collins at 307-261-7603 or e-mail lesley_collins@blm.gov, for the call-in number and pass code; 25 lines have been reserved for reporters to call into the teleconference. Media members are asked to have computer and internet access as the Buffalo Field Office will provide an update of its mapping efforts.

BACKGROUND: The BLM has scheduled a teleconference for members of the media to receive information and ask questions on its decision to revise the Buffalo Resource Management Plan (RMP). The RMP is a planning effort to help the BLM succeed in its mission to manage public land for multiple uses. During the revision process, BLM reevaluates the various uses on public land and determine the appropriate policies that provide a balance of all the uses, including recreation, development, wildlife, sage-grouse, etc.
