Folic Acid Supplementation To Prevent Neural Tube Defects

Screening for neural tube defects during pregnancy is currently considered part of standard prenatal care. The USPSTF knows of no reason at the present time to update its 1996 recommendation. However, the USPSTF has decided to update its recommendation on folic acid supplementation.
