Ambassador: Vietnam, US ties bright in 2008 - 04/01/2009 -- 9:58 PM (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Le Cong Phung described 2008 as a bright year of the Vietnam-US relations, showing political determination of the two countries’ leaderships and desire of both nations. US Senator agrees with PM on need to lift trade barriers - (VNA) The Chairman of the US Senate Finance Committee, Max Baucus admitted that discrimination in trade matters is a barrier that should be removed from his country’s commerce with Vietnam , during a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi on Dec. 17.
