Over the past 1.5 year we have seen slow but steady interest. There has had to be pressure from the top. The natives are doing an excellent job of pushing from the bottom. The tide is slowly changing.

The work is seeping across the campus as well. The SOM is poking around the edges, and we are starting to plan projects that work on interdisciplinary training in the face of HIT enabled care. That is incredibly exciting and interesting.

The natives flow out into the acute care settings and ask where they "click" to pull up those evidenced based guidelines with the linked references. Or why do I have to log in to two different systems to access CPOE and the EHR because I don't have to do that in the SON...........

Change occurs in many different fashions and flavors. We are not browbeating therefore, we are gently teaching, influencing, and in the case of some of the particularly obstinate faculty we make this point...........
