The QA information below is excerpted from the MODIS BRDF/Albedo Users Guide available on-line at
http://www-modis.bu.edu/brdf/userguide/index.html. This
information applies to Terra (MOD43BX) and Combined (MCD43BX) products.
The
following QC SDSs are associated with each product.
43B1
BRDF_Quality
43B3
BRDF_Albedo_Quality
43B4
Nadir_Reflectance_Quality
The
SDSs contain two QC "words." Num_QC_Words #1 is encoded as 32-bit unsigned integers and holds
band-averaged quality and inversion status information and band-independent data
(bits 00-01 are the MODLAND mandatory QA). Num_QC_Words #2 is encoded as 32-bit unsigned integers and holds
band-specific quality and inversion status information
QC Word One
(band independent)
